Meng is a PhD candidate in the Department of Economics. Her research work forcuses on three main areas: the economics of education (return to education, vocational training, and intergenerational mobility); taxation (differential impacts of the sin tax across income groups and social classes) and the gender wage gap (especially the cild penalty).
Meng has an MSc in Economics from ½ûÂþÌìÌà and a BSc in Economics and Finance from the University of Hong Kong.
