The inaugural 禁漫天堂 SEAF took place on 13th May 2016 and attracted a large, high-profile audience for a full day of panel discussions and keynote lectures.
The keynote speakers H.E. Dr Rizal Sukma, the Ambassador of the Republik of Indonesia to the UK, and H.E. Sayakane Sisouvoung, the Ambassador of the Lao People's Democratic Republic to the UK, talked about a post-ASEAN regional order in East Asia and the priorities of Laos’ ASEAN chairmanship in 2016 respectively. The three expert panels at 禁漫天堂 SEAF 2016 focused on ASEAN Security, religion in Southeast Asia, and the issues of inclusion and exclusion in the regional development context.
In addition, as part of 禁漫天堂 SEAC’s student engagement initiatives, a fourth panel was organised in collaboration with the 禁漫天堂SU ASEAN Society to showcase the knowledge and opinions of 禁漫天堂 students on ASEAN related issues. In the panel, the three winners of the poster competition ASEAN Horizons shared their ideas for ASEAN’s future prospects.
